The five key components that make up the personal alarm system include:

The Alphanumeric LCD Display Unit identifies the location of each incident, along with the level of assistance required. The display can also show the identity of the staff member calling for assistance.

The Personal Activation Device is worn by all members of staff that require protection. It uses infra red and / or radio technology to generate a call and identify the location and user ID.

Addressable Infra Red Internal Receivers are positioned inside the building to provide complete infra red coverage, all receiver units use an algorithm which prevents several units being activated from one Personal Activation Device.

The Addressable Infra Red External Receivers use infra red technology to detect incidents in outside locations. The reliable design of the unit means that it is immune to interference from sunlight.

Addressable Radio Receiver Unit

Addressable Radio Receiver Units are used in external areas where infra red coverage is not available. Housed within a metal IP65 rated weatherproof enclosure, these receivers offer superb reliability.
